Two more weeks until my 10K. Running is not a natural thing for me but it gets easier every day. I've taken to running at the Y for a couple of reasons. First, it is cold and icy. I try to do my long runs outside if the weather permits so I am used to trail running. Second, I am doing a challenge at work and running at the Y gives me points.
My 10K is in Tampa, Florida on the 2nd and I run along the beach shoreline. I'm so excited about doing that! It is called The Best Damn Race. I don't feel like two weeks will be enough to get ready but it will have to be enough and I'm going to Just Do It. After the race we are meeting up with Paul's sister, Sue, since she lives an hour south of the race. We fly in Friday night, race and Sue on Saturday, and fly back Sunday. It will be a whirlwind of a trip but it should be fun and I'm looking forward to leaving this icky weather up north, even if it is for a short time. I'll update you after the race.
After the 10K it is time to start the half training!!!
